Salt Dough Animals
For recount writing this week we made salt dough animals. Our salt dough animals are New Zealand animals such as the Piwakawaka, Blue Penguin, the Kiwi and the Giant Weta.
On Monday we made our animals and Miss Holderness took them home to bake them.
On Tuesday we started to write our recount about what we did when we made them. Our recounts always start with who, what and when. Our recount then goes onto say what we did first, next, then and finally. We end our recounts by adding a personal comment, such as "I liked it, it was fun" or "It was fun and it was really sticky!"
